Expressly formulated to address early age cracking problems, Fibermesh micro-synthetic fibres prevent 80 -100% of all cracks in the plastic state – precisely when most cracks occur. During the plastic settlement phase, the fibres create a three-dimensional support network that resists the downward pull of gravity, thus keeping aggregates in suspension and promoting uniform bleeding.

This network increases the tensile strain capacity of concrete during the plastic shrinkage phase as well.

Fibermesh 300 fibres e3 technology helps provide superb plastic shrinkage crack reduction as well as providing post-crack residual strength. As Fibermesh fibres are 100% virgin polypropylene, they mix and finish extremely well.

Fibermesh 300 fibres were previously BRANZ appraised as an alternative system to wire mesh for crack control for slab on ground floors and pavements. Changes to NZ Standards have discontinued the use of micro-synthetic fibres as a replacement for wire mesh in slab on ground floors for habitable structures. In these applications, please refer to Forta Ferro macro fibres. Fibermesh 300 fibres may be used in external concrete, driveways, footpaths, parking areas, engineered applications, etc  and in conjunction with wire mesh to help prevent cracking.
