A unique crystal-forming concrete additive that provides long term protection for buildings by waterproofing the concrete.
Added into concrete during batching.

Used to make concrete waterproof and self-seals hairline cracks should they develop.
Replaces the need for traditional membranes. The concrete becomes the waterproof membrane.

Lasts for the life of the concrete and does not require maintenance.
Compatible with all surface coatings. Reduces construction costs.

Krystol Internal Membrane is a PRAH (Permeability Reducing Admixture – Hydrostatic Conditions). When combined with water, KIM’s proprietary chemicals react to form millions of needle-like crystals. These crystals grow and fill the capillary pores and micro-cracks in the concrete, blocking the flow of water. As time passes and stresses form new cracks, any incoming moisture causes the crystals to reactivate – ensuring continuous waterproofing over the years.

BRANZ appraised (no. 661) as an alternative solution in terms of NZBC compliance for the requirements of B2 DURABILITY: Performance B2.3.1(a) not less than 50 years, E2 EXTERNAL MOISTURE: Performance E2.3.2 and E2.3.3
